APPROACH
In the context of a new macro environment and more competitive fundraising landscape, a major global alternative investment manager approached us to review the positioning and distribution approaches of their private credit strategies. Leveraging our deep knowledge of private credit asset classes and the investment process of asset allocators, we conducted a three-step approach: 1/ a comparative study of the different private credit products offered on the client’s platform, in collaboration with investment teams, 2/ a review of positioning and distribution strategies for each of these products with the senior management of sales and product teams 3/ the design and roll-out of new comparative positioning and commercial strategy with the global sales teams.
RESULTS
By aligning with Accellency’s strategic approach, the product and sales teams successfully identified more entry points within institutional LPs. This enabled them to run parallel fundraising campaigns with a complementary pitch, ensuring the funds were positioned as synergistic rather than competitive.
