APPROACH
A private equity-backed midcap healthcare company had been through one unsuccessful transaction process and was looking to reset its equity story before making a second attempt at a sale. Accellency applied its proprietary 8-step equity story methodology, starting with a series of workshops with the top management of the company. This process led to the design a new equity story which focused on the scalable platform of services the business offered. Accellency produced a new company presentation deck, elevator pitch and media pack as well as providing coaching to the senior management ahead of investor meetings.
RESULTS
This new equity story was endorsed by both the management team and shareholders, who fully implemented Accellency’s recommendations in the investor marketing materials. The new equity story much better received by the investment community, helping investors to understand the revenue growth drivers and larger addressable market. This helped lead to a re-launch of the sales process which successfully resulted in the full sale of the company to another LBO fund at a higher valuation level for the seller than originally expected.
