Szabi has over 15 years’ experience in investment, advisory, and corporate finance roles. He is also a certified executive coach, focusing in particular on leadership and communication. He coaches both individuals and teams to elevate their performance.
He has been a consultant on impact investing projects worldwide for 5 years. He was a senior investment officer at SunFunder (owned by the €27bn asset manager Mirova), an innovative financing house providing debt capital for enterprises addressing the climate emergency. Prior to that, he was Head of Corporate Finance at Rensource, an award-winning decentralized energy infrastructure company in Nigeria, where he led efforts to successfully raise both Series A equity and debt financing.
Previously Szabi worked to launch a first-time impact investment fund with a focus on tech-enabled companies in Sub-Saharan Africa. He also worked in the LatAm investment team at Rioforte, a private equity investment company with €3bn AUM. He began his career at HSBC where he was an associate focused on debt capital transactions in emerging countries.
Szabi is British-Hungarian who lived and worked in 10 countries across 4 continents, learning to speak fluently in 4 languages. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Economics from Warwick University, UK.
